Ek wil weet hoelank kan biltong in 'n koelkamer wees na dit gespice en asyn op gegooi is.

Ek laat le gewoonlik vir +-24 uur en hang dan op.

Ek sou niks meer as 24 uur doen nie. As jou pekel dalk lig is kan jy langer maar jy wil nie Bokkoms maak nie!

As ek vanaand pekel hang ek more aand op. Ek vermoed jy kan dalk 'n verassing kry as dit langer le. Nie seker nie. Sal self wil hoor van die boffins.

Ja, hierdie wenk is goed om van te weet. As jy te veel nat biltong het wat jy eerder op 'n heelwat latere stadium wil benut, vries die gepekelde biltong en hang dan oor paar maande eers op om te droog voordat jy dit gebruik.

As jy dadelik wil gebruik, stem ek saam dat die gepekelde biltong nie langer as 24 uur moet lê voordat dit gehang moet word nie. Selfs 12 ure kan dikwels voldoende wees.
