Hi All
I'm looking to put a silencer on an old Sako 243 but I need advice on the thread size. The barrel measures 14.85mm OD at the end and I've been advised that the optimal thread size is barrel OD minus 2mm. Now I'm planning on keeping this rifle as light as possible and so I'm looking at getting a Freyr and Devik 196, but the smallest thread I can find online is M13 x 1.
My question is will the M13x1 work on a barrel OD of 14.85mm?
Any advise would be appreciated!
