Hi, I know this is an old post but need help. would i be able to put on a oryx chassis if i have the normal 6.5 creedmoor howa varmint? It doesnt have the box magazine so how would it fit on the oryx chassis?
Make sure what you are aiming at before you squeeze the trigger.

I may be wrong, but I believe the chassis system "converts" the rifle to the magazine system as part of the package. Remember the action and the barrel, the parts being installed in the chassis, has no idea where the ammunition comes from, be it from an internal magazine box, one with a floorplate or even a magazine. The bolt just feeds the next one in line. I believe the chassis system comes with a magazine for this reason.

The Oryx comes with its own bottom metal, action bolts and a polymer magazine. The internal magazine is no longer required.

You drop your barrelled action into the Oryx, torque the supplied action screws, load your magazine and zero your scope.

Thanks for the reply. So just to confirm, nothing extra is needed if I buy the oryx chassis? Only need the rifle and the chassis?
