Train to hunt 2015

The dates will be finalized as soon as all the organisationa confirmed there schedules for 2015:
- February 2015
- April 2015
- August 2015
- October 2015 “Final”


• The event will be at the same location as the exhibition event, Extreme Archery.
• There will be 6 physical challenges and targets to be completed/shot during the race.
• You will need 6 arrows for the event. Arrows stay in the target.
• There will be clear standards on the physical challenges, and designated physical challenge areas to perform them.
• Competitors will shoot at standard 3D targets throughout the race
• Range finders are allowed.
• There will be designated shooting stations where competitors will be shooting from.
• If the competitor hits the ten ring on the target:
o The competitor moves on to the next physical challenge.
o Has 30 seconds SUBTRACTED from their total run time.
• If the competitor hits the eight ring:
o The competitor moves on to the next physical challenge.
o No reward or penalty.
• If the competitor hits the target anywhere outside the eight ring or miss the target all together:
o The competitor moves on to the next physical challenge.
o Has 30 seconds ADDED on to their total race time.
• There will be two divisions, Open Men, Masters Men (40+), R100 registration.
• Competitors must have their competition number written on their bow arm and the fletching of their arrows.
• Competitors must carry 10kg in a backpack. We will provide the weight for the pack.
• Competitors must have their arrows either in a quiver, or in their backpack. They are not allowed to run with arrows in their hand.
• Competitors must complete each physical challenge before moving on to the following target.
• Competitors must stay on designated trails
• Competitors must shoot from an unoccupied designated shooting station
• Competitors must shoot at every target
• Competitors must do physical challenges in designated physical challenge areas.
• To qualify for the final event you will need to attend at least 2 previous events.

Daar was 3 manne van Secunda by die eerste event.

Ek weet van hul ja... Ek en Bernhardt skiet baie saam en het saam studeer. Ek kn ongelukkig net nie die vorige een saam hulle bywoon nie. Hopelik is dit die jaar anders.

Is daar n baan vir ons manne met spaarwiele. Daai eerste een van oor die paal en onder deur val ek al klaar uit die bus en die cooler boks moet n staal trommel wees.

Nou ja, ons oefen nou al van die begin van die maand.

Ons beplan ons eerste jag vroeg in Mei naby Alldays. Hierdie jaar gaan my oudste seun saam. Laas jaar het hy my seer gestap so die idee is om te oefen so dat ek darm kan by bly. Hy met die 30-06 en ek met die boog.

Ek hoop om in die proses so 15kg ook te verloor. Was vroeg in Des 100kg, staan nou op 95kg.
