243 85gn tsx

Hi guys!

Has anybody here used the above bullet on their 243? Is it possible to drive these bullets to around 3200fps using Somchems S365? Please advise as I cannot seem to get my hands on 95gn partitions so this is my next choice.Rifle is a Howa heavy barrel 24 inch

It is possible but extremely close to max of 3270fps

The accurate nodes for this bullet in a 24 inch barrel will be close to 3050 and 3270fps. Depending on the burn rate of S365 the top one will be at max pressure or over. Out to 300m you might shoot higher by 1 to 2 inches (25-50mm). In my opinion it is not worthwhile to run your machine at 6000 revs when 5000 will do exactly the same job. Save on powder and barrel life with the medium load.

I have used these bullets to hunt with and they are excellent performers.
