So we all have love hate relationships and this even happens to gas systems fire arms.
I absolutely love the AK 47 platform. Been fortunate to have shot around 3000 rounds between different models and my wide has managed around 1000. I would buy a AK in a heart beat buy sadly what I want I cant get. No proper mounts. No nice freeflow cans available locally that I have found.
I love te long piston system. Its clean, crude and almost nothing goes wrong. DI's are more dirty and I personally think after a day of fun it might struggle a bit.
My vision of my dream gun is a short piston, 5.56, enough pic rails. I want to mount a LPVO with a 45degree reddot and possibly a clip on thermal. A short QD suppressor is a must. 11.5" barrel would be great but will consider up to 13. Foldable stock will be a huge advantage except if it's a AKM then I'm happy with wood furniture.
This will be used for sport shooting and some critter controll.
I've been putting my heart on a Spear LT but we cant import their supressor and they come at a massive price.
