God Said 'NO!'
I asked God to take away my bad habit.
God said, 'No'.
It is not for me to take away,
but for you to give up.
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, 'No.'
His spirit is whole,
his body is only temporary.
I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, 'No.'
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations.
It isn't granted, it is learned.
I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, 'No.'
I give you blessings.
Happiness is up to you.
I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, 'No.'
Sufferings draw you apart from worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.
I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, 'No.'
You must grow on your own.
But I will prune you to make
you fruitful.
I asked God for all things that
I might enjoy life.
God said, 'No.'
I will give you life,
so that you may enjoy all things.
I asked God to help me love others
as much as He loves me.
God said,
Ahhh ... finally you have the idea.
Be contented for what you have.
Make use of it
even the littlest of things.
Give the littlest you have to God
and you'll be amazed
of what HE will do.
"And we know that in all things
God works for the good of those
who love Him, who have been called
according to His purpose."
Romans 8:28.
God has given you this day.
Don't through it away.
God bless you.
En hoe maklik faal ons nie telkens met die nakoming van die
volgende eenvoudige opdrag nie?
Those are the words we don't want to hear from God,
yet those are the words that make our lives so much
better through all the blessings we already received from God,
once we understand what He really wants us to do,
namely to love each other as much as He loves us.
