CED Chronograph sensor problems

Can anyone be of assistance with regard to the following?

I have recently needed to replace my second CED Chronograph sensor (from Shooting Stuff) due to it just stop functioning without reason. Both replaced sensors were the original sensors purchased with the chronograph.

Has anyone;
1. Had a similar problem with the CED chronograph sensors?
2. And if so can they be repaired?

Any input will be appreciated.

I have a CED that has been lying around after the one sensor went down. Somebody had tripped over the wires and I thought that a wire might be the problem. I bought a Prochrono to replace it and have not bothered to trouble shoot the chrony.

Kalaharihunter, my CED is 1st generation, (still with serial ports) and my one sensor was giving me trouble. Replaced the wire, but still wouldn't work.So I replaced both sensors which I obtained from Jonathan at Shooting Stuff.
I used to wind the wire leads up around the sensor, but nowadays store them in a loop about 15cm diameter, to put less stress on the little wires.

I have the m2 model which does not have serial ports. The m2 has USB ports and the sensor leads plug into the Chronograph by means of “earphone” jacks. The leads are quite robust and do not believe will break easily from normal wear and tear. When my sensor/s went on the blink, I had the continuity of the “earphone” jack and leads checked and they were healthy. The faults were most definitly related to one or more of the electronic components making up the sensor unit. As these sensors are +- R700 each, I would like to get them repaired and keep as spares.
