Great forum, enjoy all the info available here. Some background to me/family:
I have two boys aged 10 & 15, and a fiance all of who are mad about shooting and hunting. Favourite pastime shooting gongs.
I have always enjoyed the bush, and have hunted many times in it, but have REALLY developed a love for the vlakte. I enjoy the cool temperatures and breezy climate, and hunting something that you can see far off but have to work out how to get close to is challenging. Plus of course being able to shoot 2 - 300m.
I have been reloading since 1993 and about two years ago invested in Quickload which i am busy working out, along with Cassies CD - I enjoy the technical/scientific approach. I have never used factory ammo for hunting.
Favourite bullets Nosler, Claw, Berger, Barnes - some for hunting, some for range.
Current rifles: CZ550 243Win, Weatherby 7mmRM, Steyr Mannlicher 300H&H, Ruger No.1H 458WM. Handguns and shotgun.
Other favourite pastime - fishing, estuary/sea shore.

Welcome Roly. Quite a comprehensive report. Where in SA are you residing. We can discuss QL at length - look under the reloading section for Quik Load. Read what I and Wouter have sprouted there, as it should give you a very good background as to methodology of reloading and the use of QL. You are welcome to drop a PM for info.
