I want to know if anyone can help me on the Case overall length on a .308 with 180gr using S341 propellent(somchem). I need the COL on different tips for eg. Barnestipped TSX, Barnes MRX, Barnes Tipped TSX, Nosler Partition, Nosler Ballistic tip, Nosler Accubond, Hornady SST Interlock, Nosler PArtition, Rhino Solid Shank, Sierra gameking, Sierra prohunter?

The COL of catridges are rifle specific as chambers are cut with different reamers and different free bores. You will have to determine your COL for every bullet as their form (ogive)also differs from make to make. You might find that your magazine length will also play a role and limit COL's.

I have saved mine for all my calibres in a Excel spreadsheet, which makes for easy retrieval.

The case overall length of a 308 Win is maximum 51.18mm.  The trim to length is 0.50mm less.

I only want to ad that the published cartridge overall lengths are industry guidelines only.  The numbers only mean that commercially produced ammunition should not exceed those lengths and that commercially produced rifle magazine boxes should not be shorter.  This ensures that all factory ammunition will fit in all factory rifles of a calibre.  No more.  It is not a performance or accuracy recommendation, simply a dimensional guide for manufacturers.
