A very unique rifle Vic, priced to go in a jiffy! Where does it hail from? I was never aware that Mauser ground down and bent bolt handles to accomodate riflescopes, especially those on claw mounts.

Please show some more pictures of the left hand side of the action. Interesting enough Hensoldt had a datable serial number system that is still available from both Zeiss and Hensoldt Military systems at a premium.

I do not know the history of this rifle - I inherited it 35 years ago from my late father. Was an internal struggle with myself to put it up for sale. You will not find a rifle with better balance and pointability than this one. These claw mounts have a "window" that allows you to use the open sights through.

They are indeed well balanced weapons. I own, and have owned several myself, as well as multiple variations such as the FNs.
