Hi there,
I have registered under the name of SoutieBoer, because I grew up on a farm in Northern Europe and lived half my life in Europe and half my life in SA. I grew up hunting and fishing over there, and love hunting in Africa.
My favorite rifle I use - Tikka Super Varmint 6.5mm that fulfills 90% of all my hunting and shooting needs. The 6.5mm is, as you probably know, THE BEST CALIBER THERE IS... Period... 8-)
Have found Jaracal a great source of local information about hunting and target shooting.

I chose the 6.5x55 caliber, to make sure that the kwesbokke from my friend's .270's and 30-06's are safely taken care of...

Welcome but remember a 6.5 is only worthy of the best caliber titel if it is followed by 55 in its description .

Hi SoutieBoer,
You are treading on dangerous ground claiming that a 6.5x55 is "undisputed champion"....beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!
Do you have a split personality since you claim to be registered as "SoutieBoer, but your avatar displays SoetieBoer?
Welcome to the forum - and may you experience a lot of flack for making bold statements...

Ag niee... Made a mistake with Soutie / Soetie jislike! Well, I'm a sweet guy, some say 8-)
Making bold statements about favorite best calibers is a great ice breaker, I've found. I don't mind receiving flak, it builds character. Especially with guys in the .270 camp..hehe...

I see you have changed your name from Soet to Sout. I wanted to point that out to you, but you have done the necessary.
