Kizlyar's KO-1 Combat is a knife designed solely for combat. A humble looking, user friendly piece of cold steel.
Unlike usual knives that are meant to work as tools as well as weapons the KO-1 has a double edge blade. This makes thrusting this dagger into things a lot easier, the mark it
leaves is also quite a bit nastier than that of a single edged blade. The KO-1 Combat has a blade that is thicker towards the tip than on the basic version, giving it added
strength. The handle is thoroughly ribbed and fits well in the hand, the grip is firm and good. The sheath is a simple and robust piece of leatherwork. When the strap is
snapped around the handle the knife will sit firmly in its place. The blade won't rise from the sheath and neither will the whole thing swing around uncontrollably, unlike
traditional Finnish puukko knives.
Construction:
Blade: 175 mm long, 4 mm thick. Fuller, full tang.
Guard: A simple, oval steel disc.
Handle: Grooved and ribbed, good grip even when wet.
Pommel: A pointy skull crusher with a lanyard hole.
Sheath: Sewn, 6 cm wide belt loop.
These knives are hand made, therefore each one is an individual. The one you receive can
therefore have minor details that differ from the one pictured. Each knife is marked with an
individual serial number.
