New Hunter Training Course - Due to requests from local hunters the Sutherland Hunting Academy will be presenting a Master Hunters Course with Level One, Two and Three. Arrival for each level will be on a Thursday afternoon with training taking place on the Friday and Saturday and departure will be after brunch on the Sunday. The main focus on Level One is hunting weapons and methods including some handgun, shotgun (clay) and rifle shooting on the range. Level two is focused on meat hunting and includes shot placement and carcass handling ( wors and biltong making), Level Three focuses on Trophy hunting and includes trophy measuring, estimation and hunting techniques. Learners receive a certificate for each level that is completed. The cost of each level is R2800 and includes meals, accommodation and training and will be presented at the Academy in the Vaalwater area.
