This weeks hunt, although an absoulute stinker weather wise, was also a great hunting trip.
Arrived at camp on Sunday arvo and already was around 44 deg, my mates rolled in a bit later in the day.
Out on the Monday and got into a good mob of billies, some solid goats on the deck.
Spotlighting is always good in this area and we done pretty well, considering the air was still warm and it was like having a hair dryer blowing in your face on the back of the ute.
First night out we picked up 9 foxes and 3 cats, a good night.
Next day was the stinker, 46.5 , we didn't do much in the morning but the afternoon saw us into some good mobs of goats.
The funny thing was that night spotlighting it was actually cold?
We pretty well done the same thing each day, hunt in the afternoon then spotlight at night until 2-3am.
The water in the creek was used to cool down a few times over the week, just nice to refresh if anything!
A good 5 days and the feral tally ended up with 118 goats, 22 foxes, 5 cats, 2 hares, 1 rabbit, 1 crow and a fallow deer to top up the meat in the esky.
A great start to the 2013 hunting year!

Wonder hoe lyk die "mirage" in sulke hitte?
Lyk my daai manne skiet ook alles wat voor kom?
