Deeg en dip resepte

Dough Recipe:

So you will now be known as a closet case "pappie"

Easy. 2 kinds of dough
1) Snow Flake Cake Flour
2) Semolina (bit trickier but more effective)

1) Flour
- 1 tablespoon water in a mixing bowl (I make the dough next to the water so I use the water in the dam)
- Add 1/2 teaspoon sugar

- Add some flour - not to much -> must be a milky mix
- Add more flour -> little by little. Every time you add some flour mix it in thoroughly.
- Add flour until the dough stick to the spoon (or whatever you use to mix it with)
- Now cover your hands with flour and start mixing the dough in your hands. Be careful not to make the mix to dry. It must still be very soft but not sticky.
- Put it in a bankie. Cut a corner and dispense from there

2) Semolina
- 2 tablespoons water in bowl

- Add 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- Add some Semolina -> also keep it milky
- Here is the difference: Do not add more ? let it stand for about 20 minutes -> then add VERY little Semolina to the mix.
- Mix it well and let it stand for another 20 minutes
- Continue above until you have a sticky mix that stick to your spoon
- Once sticking t your spoon -> again cover your hands in FLOUR and start mixing the dough in your hands. Again do not make it too dry (as per the Flour dough above
- Put in a bankie. Cut corner and dispense from there

Important. You can make the Semolina dough at home as it does not go sour (has a longer ?shelf live? than Flour).

If you want to flavour your dough with any of the dips that you will be using add it to the water in the beginning and do not add at the end.

3) Dough:

Instead of water for your dough try using sprite,
4 tablespoons sprite
1/2 teaspoon icing sugar
heat in microwave and add flour
as the dough is sticking to the spoon add your flavouring then a bit more flour

Degie:

Die deegie is net vir wanner die vis goed byt en jy die tempo nog bietjie vinniger wil maak.Ek moet ook by voeg dat die deegie baie gou af gaan in warm weer.Gebruik gewone koekmeel soos normaal voeg nou twee teelepels bakpoeier by,gebruik nou die wit van twee eiers(slegs die wit) en klits goed deurmekaar.vat nou bietjie suiker en los dit op in warm water, voeg dan die suikermengels by die deeg en begin dit knie(is nogals morserig)gooi nou koekmeel by tot die deeg die tekstuur het waarna jy verlang.die bakpoeier maak dat die deegie lekker lig is en float mooi bokant die bodem.soos ek in die begin gese het die deegie raak gou sleg maar hy werk soos 'n bom

Wit Muddie Voer:
? 2 koppies wit mieliemeel
? 1 koppie koekmeel
? 1/2 (halwe) koppie jungle oats
? 1/2 (halwe) koppie King Korn (droe koring uitloop)
? 1/2 (halwe) blikkie kondensmelk.
Meng eers al die droe bestandele saam, gooi bietjie water by kondensmelk (om meer loperrig te maak) en gooi dit dan by droe bestandele. Meng goed. indien te styf kan nog water bietjie vir bietjie bygesit word, tot jy 'n voerbal kan druk.

Trick 6:
Meng gelyke dele damwater en koekmeel en so bietjie kondensmelk (die ander hefte van die blik wat vir bogenoemde gebruik is)- roer tot lekker slap sous. Moenie worry oor klonte nie los hulle.

Gebruik:
Maak voer plek op verkose afstand met ?12 Wit voer balle en ?12 gewone voer balle. Doop elke bol eers in "Trick 6" voor jy cast. Wanneer bolle klaar gecast is hengel verder met gewone voer.

Ek maak so 4 - 5 wit balle ekstra wat ek so deur die loop vd dag sal cast, net om die belangstelling weer te prikkel.

Other Muddie Recipe:

1kg Mabelting
1kg fine white mielie rice
1 box corn flakes
1 box wheatbix
1kg Morvite as binder
1kg dried bread crumbs
1kg oats

Add 50ml MX to 1 liter water and mix into the feed you're going to use and mix the feed, it has a mixture of all a muddie wants. I'll trie adding the Mieliemeel and the condensed milk trick this weekend.






Wit Pap:

n halwe koppie mielie meel..( ek gebruik n koppie wat kleiner is as n koffie beker) dan twee eetlepels suiker.. meng hom in terywl dit nog droog is...
dan vat jy kook water en voeg dit by , maak seker alles is nat en daar moet sodra jy klaar is net net n lagie water bo die pap te le...

dan gooi jy hom in die mikkie in , ek sit hom in vir so 60 (onthou alle mikkies se sterkte verskil)sekondes haal hom uit en krap uit op n brood bord hy moet half rubberig wees.... hy gaan lekker warm wees en vat dit soos n man en begin hom dadelik te brei..... brei vir so 2-3 min en sit in n houer ... moet nie in die yskas sit nie want dan gaan jy n bok kan dood gooi so hard word hy!!


Pap:

2mates miliemeel
2mate koekmeel
1xteelepel suiker
knippie sout
3mates water
meng en sit in mike vir60sec (sit mike aan n?) meng en sit weer in mike 30sec Roer so al om die 30sec. Gewoonlik vat dit 3minute dan is dit reg. Natuurlik hoe groter jou mate is hoe langer en hoe kleiner hoe gouer sal dit reg wees

Wit Pap:

Here's a nice "wit pap" recipe very successful-

4tablespoons mieliemeel
2tablespoon sugar
2tablespoon cake flour

Add all ingredients in a small bowl and slowly mix water into it until it has a watery texture. Then pop it in the microwave for one and a half minutes





Brood Pappie

Iets wat ek vroeg in my sosiale hengelloopbaan geleer het is om my gegeurde aas (veral 'n broodaas) so dag of twee voor die tyd aanmekaar te slaan en dit dan in die yskas te b?re. Dit gee kans dat die geur mooi deur die aas versprei en 'n sterker reuk word vrygestel.

Ek neem gewoonlik 'n kwart bruinbrood, gooi 'n eierwit in en meng ook Moirs geursel van keuse in tot die asie se struktuur reg is. So gebruik ek een bruinbrood om 4 gegeurde broodjies te maak vir 'n dag se hengel.

Ek en my broer het in ons jong dae op ons lekkerste moddervis gehengel met 'n skoon witbroodjie wat in die dam se water geweek en goed gebrei was.

Vir die kompetisiemanne en gesoute hengelaars is die inligting seker uit vervroe? dae maar die jonger hengelaars sal hulself gate uit geniet om hul aas self voor te berei en te beleef hoe hulle vis op hul eie aas uittrek.

Soms dink ek ons het te gemaklik begin raak met al die aas wat op die mark beskikbaar is en vergeet hoe lekker dit in ons kinderdae was om ons eie aas voor te berei.

Bruin Brood Backing:

Vat drie tot vyf snye wit brood laat staan vir drie dae . Breuk net wit dele sonder kante in krummels op. Meng deeglik met flouro en versier suiker sommer baie flouro en meng dan met moirs caramel . Microwave vir 60 - 70 sek en siedaar n backing wat jare hou. Moenie water by sit nie en moenie my hoeveelhede vra nie want my boek is by die huis lol. Die ding lyk sommer so donker bruin swart maar hy werk.

CARAMEL BREAD:

INGREDIANTS: ? loaf brow bread without crusts
2 x 30ml moir?s caramel essence
2 teaspoons egg yellow powder

METHOD: crumble brown bread in a basin; add the egg yellow powder and 1 moir?s caramel mix with hands until a stiff bait. Occasionally add the other essence when required.

RED BREAD BAIT

INGREDIANTS: 1 loaf white bread without crusts
1 raw egg
1 teaspoon sugar
Strawberry syrup the one you use for icecream
10 ml almond essence
10 ml cherry essence
Red colouring
METHOD: crumble bread in a basin, then add all the other ingredients and mix with hands to a stiff bait. If bait is too soft you can add a little cake flour.

Backing:

1.  een bottel, moirs banana, een bottel Moirs Almond.Gooi saam in 'n bak, rasper wit brood hier oor en meng tot 'n stewige deeg, brei en hou in 'n bottel, hierdie B&A broodjie kappie hou nogal lank, maak net die bottel deeglik toe.

2.  Probeer 1eier geel geklits gooi 1 bottle bannana of almond by.en 2 teelepels suiker by klits goed en voeg nou koek meel by tot dat hy begin styf word brei goed deur.

3.  moirs karamel backing met 3 snye wit of bruin brood met 1teelepel versiersuiker met n teelepel flouroseen in. Nadat hy goed gemeng is microwave ek dit vir 70 sek.

4.  Break up white sliced bread into small pieces (excluding crust) add one egg and Almond concentrate (Almond supreme) and bottled honey, mix until you get the correct texture add flour to make it firm..!



FLOUROSCEIN MIELIEBOMB

INGREDIANTS: 1kg chic chic no 1
7 cups warm water
1 ? teaspoons green flouroscein powder
1 teaspoon egg yellow powder
METHOD: pour water into a plastic container add in the powders and stir until dissolved. Add chic chic and mix well. Cook on high in microwave for 15 min.
When cooked put mielies in container / bucket and seal.

PLAIN FINE MIELIE BOMB

INGREDIANTS: 1kg chic chic no 1
7 cups warm water
? teaspoon tartrazine powder
METHOD: pour water in plastic container and mix in the tartrazine stir until dissolved, add chic chic and mix well. Cook in microwave for 15 min. when cooked place in container / bucket and seal.

SWEET FINE MEILEBOMB ( MADE AT FISHING VENUE )

INGREDIANTS: 2 cups meilemeal
1 cup cake flour
1 cup milking mash for cows

METHOD: put all ingredients in a container.
Take a portion of the mix and add dam water, mixing until it becomes a stiff dough. Mix up a bomb each time you are going to cast.
Extra ingredients honey or condensed milk


MIELIE RICE FEED

INGREDIANTS: 250 grams mielie rice
1 cup cake flour
4 teaspoons icing sugar

METHOD: put mielie rice in a pot add enough water +/- 2cm above rice boil rapidly , lower the heat and cook for 15 to 20 min stirring occasionally. Take off stove and add the cake flour and icing sugar and mix well. Store in a sealed container while still hot

Bom:

I would also include the following:
1) 2 Parts Kaboom
2) 1 Part Chic Chic
3) 1 Part Cooked peanuts
4) 1 Part Hemp seed

Mielie Grys

Kook vir jou mieliegrys met n blik kondensmelk
in die microgolf oond vir 20min

metode:
neem n groot genoeg glasbak en gooi jou
blikkie kondensmelk in die 3/4 bak vol water
en roer deeglik deur.......
gooi die pak mieliegrys in die water en maak
seker al die mielies is onder die water...
sit in microgolf vir 20 min ....

jy kan die gekookte mieliegrys saam met jou
droe voer in meng soos jy dit wil he
moddervis hou van soet wit voer en jy kan
fyn degies gooi of speel met gegeurde flouties
met die degies

white mielie papie:

3/4 cup mielie meel
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup suger
Bring 1 cup of water to the boil in a pot. Mix all dry well add dry to boiling water reduce heat and close pot with a lid for +- 30 sec. Now mix all the dry ingrediance into the water and make sure that all the dry has been worked i. Make sure that the heat is on low so that the pap does not burn cover and steam for 15 min. remove from pot and allow to cool just enogh that you can work the pap through with your hands well let cool and put in a seld container and your ready to bait up. try using this papie with DDD let me know if this works for U. Peach Bol Dip:
1 bottle peach concentrate
1 bottle honey glow concentrate
2 tsp floro
1 bottle honey
Dissolve the floro in the concentrate then add honey and shake well

Lootie
1 bottle Supercast musk
1 bottle Superast Raspberry
1 bottle Mollases (500ml)
Red powder
Mix all ingredients together.

Lootie:
rasberry/strawbery/molasse/crimson red
maak n bietjie warm in micro-wave sodat alles goed kan meng

Almond Supreme:
Almond (one part)

Saam n mes punt rooi carmasien poeier.
Meng saam en skud goed.

Vat n klein bottle plain vloaties en gooi so 4 eetlepels van daai mengstel saam die vloaties. Daai die bottle so elke 2 uure so dat hulle lekker meng.
By die dam gebruik jy die mengsel op jou bol en die floaties saam SWD op die hoeke.



"FX"
Ingredients:

60 ml Caramel essence (Moirs)

30 ml Vanilla essence

500 g Caramel Syrup

1 packet Caramel instant puding powder

1.5 teaspoon fluorocene powder (usually green)

Method:

Mix Caramel and Vanilla essence with the caramel syrup till you have even consistency. Now add the fluorescence powder slowly while mixing. Finally add the instant pudding bit by bit to thicken the dip. Constantly stirr to prevent lumps. You can decide how thick you want the dip by adding more/less instant pudding

FX:

120ml Moirs Caramel
10ml Moirs Vanilla
10ml Green Florecein or red.
1 Packet of Moirs Caramel Pudding
Mix all together and voila. You can add the Glycerine to thicken it a bit.

Banjo:
1 bottle Banana Jamaica (Supercast)
1 Tablespoon Condensed Milk
Knifepoint Egg Yellow Powder and Knifepoint Green Florceine
Mix all together. You can add Glycerine to thicken.

Ingredients:
2 x 30ml Moirs Caramel Essence
1 x 30ml Moirs Vanilla Essence
1 box of Moirs Caramel pudding powder
1 x 500g Illovo Caramel Syrup
1.5tsp of Floroscene powder

Method:

- Pour & mix the 90ml of Essence(Caramel & Vanilla) into a stainless steel bowl.

- Add entire 500g Caramel syrup into the bowl & break the thickness down with the previous contents.

- Add bits of the caramel pudding into the mix, thouroughly mixing it up, making sure no lumps are formed. A conventional hand whisk is perfect for the job.

- Caution: do not add the entire box of the pudding at once, add slowly & mix until the entire sachet is added.

- Add as desired the floro, carmoisene or even red floro

Note: The caramel pudding & floro thickens the entire mixture. Thicken as desired...


Uie Stroop:

Ek weet uiestroop werk baie goed daar. Hier is die resep - gemaak deur Koos Hendriks (AKA Onestone):

vat twee groot uie, skil hulle en sny in kwarte... vat 4 koppies suiker.... ek gebruik n klein koppie....
gooi oor uie... maak toe... roer elke paar ure... begin dit so die maandag voor jy die naweek hengel.....

Gebruik net so paar druppels op die bol - so elke 4de 5de gooi

Meng Caramel and Vanilla essence met die caramel syrup en maak seker dit is goed gemengl, gooi nou die Caramel instant poeding bietjie vir bietjie by en roer terwyl jy dit ingooi om die dip dicker te maak en maak seker daar is geen klontjies. Jy kan sel besluit hoe dik jy die dips soek deer meer of minder instant poeding in te gooi

Meng dan die naeltjie olie en glyserine om ?n baie sterk naeltjie olie dip te maak. So nou het jy twee mengsels die bogenoemde een wat nes FX is en dan die een (naeltjie olie mengsel) Gooi nou van die eerste mengel (FX mengsel) in ?n 50ml botteltjie tot so ? vol, meng kaneel poeier in na smaak, en voeg dan ?n bietjie van die tweede mengsel (naeltjie olie mengsel) by, en ?n tikseltjie rooi flouresent skud goed.

MBC:

60% Molassestroop
20% Bunspice
20% Caramel
Baie groen floro.

Die dippie werk veral lekker wanneer die water so bietjie kouer is en as die wind so bietjie druk.

Perdeby:
Gooi die FX in 'n skoon dip bottel tot so 3/4 vol, meng kaneel poeie in na smaak, en voeg dan 'n bietjie van die naeltjie olie mengsel by, en 'n tikseltjie rooi flouro. Skud goed en vang lekker vis.

Technical Advice

Measuring Silt:

Take 50 cm of white rope and attach it to your sinker and main line. Cast it out to the distance you want to fish and let it lie for a few minutes without straitening the line. Reel your line in and observe the discoloring on the piece of rope. It will give you an indication of the depth of the silt you are going to fish in and you can work out your trace length and strategy accordingly.

taktiek vir koue en vuil water:

1.hengel altyd statafords as die wind waai
2.saam met stattafords is tcp n vereiste -gatvol of my gunsteling Q35 ,en moenie skaam wees om jou hoekies te dip nie ,soos in die ou dae
3.vicks(bloekom) is altyd in die mix as dit kouerig is ,saam met Fireball van trucella ,wat volgens my die beste bunspice op die mark is
4. as die water vuil is en die temperatuur daarvan koud ,sal ek eerder degies as floaties gebruik juis omdat die visse dan meer aktief op die bodem soek vir kos
5.jou kol raak dan eers belangrik en ek sal dan eerder op 80-90 n kol bou as om oop ketels te gooi
6.die rede vir my vrou se sukses is dat die floaties wat sy gebruik het en in glo na ongeveer 40 minute begin afsak na die bodem en dis hoekom sy by rietspruit die vis gekry het ,ek was eenvoudig +_ 12cm van die grond af en uit die zone uit
7. dis ook hoekom albert al sy vis gekry het ,is omdat hy net met degies gehengel het

Wurms:

Wat vir my werk is 'n swart krat - die 20l groote waarvan die deksel in clip. Boor 'n 13 mm gat in die middel van die bodem en miskien so 'n paar 1mm gaatjies op verskeie plekke in die bodem. Gooi sowat 'n cm laag 6mm of ander fyn klippies onder. Kry van daardie grys bidum by die ko-operasie, tuinwinkels of hardeware winkels - dit lyk soos fyn filtermateriaal en die wurms kan nie daardeur gaan nie maar dit laat water deur en die lagie klippies dreineer dit (na die 13mm gat) en keer dat die bidum (en die wurms) in die water is. Jy moet die hele gedeelte van die krat bokant die klippies uitl? met die bidum (hoop die spelling is reg). Die rim van die kratdeksel moet jy met daardie swart "stick-on" sponsrubber uitl? - dit se?l die deksel genoeg dat die wurms nie bo kan deurkom nie. Baksteen bo-op en ou skinkbord onder in 'n koel plek - moet nooit son kry nie want die kompos oorverhit en maak die wurms vrek. Verder gebruik ek net (mushroom) kompos - dit is nie organies verryk nie en voer die wurms met'n lagie nat koerantpapier bo-op die kompos, skorsie, pampoen, papaja skille - hou vleiserige goed uit want dit gaan vrot - gebruik net rou skille en hou gekookte kos uit.

1 koppie Koekmeel
1 pakkie Jellie
2 koppie Kook water
3 eetlepels Suiker

Metode:
Plaas die water in n pot en bring tot kook punt. Roer koekmeel met n vurk in.
Verander die stoof se hitte na laag en roer die mieliemeel en jellie in.
Kook stadig vir 15 min. Laat afkoel en knie na gelange tekstuur.

CARAMEL DEGIE

Bestandele:
2 & 1/2 koppie Mieliemeel
1 koppie Koekmeel
3 t-lepels Custard poeier
1/2 bottel "Caramel Essence"
2 koppies Warm Water
1 Kooksakkie

Metode:
Meng al die bestandele deeglik saam in die kooksakkie.
Plaas die sakkie in n pot kookwater en kook vir 5 min.
Haal sakkie uit die water en laat le om af te koel.
Brei die degie na gelange tekstuur.

BRUIN SUIKER DEGIE

Bestandele:
3 t-lepels Bruin suiker
1/2 koppie Koekmeel
1 t-lepel "Chocolate Essence"
1/2 koppie Water

Metode:
Los die suiker op in lou warm water en laat dit afkoel.
Gooi suiker water in n mengbak saam met die "Chocolate Essence" meng met lepel.
Gooi die koekmeel stadig by terwyl jy roer totdat die mengsel styf word.
Verwyder die mengsel van die mengbak en brei dit deeglik.
Plaas die mengsel in n sakkie en seel behoorlik.

AMANDEL DEGIE

Bestandele:
3 t-lepels "Almond Essence"
1 t-lepel "Yellow florocene"
1/2 koppie Water
1 koppie Koekmeel

Metode:
Meng die "Essence", "Florocene" en water deeglik saam in n mengbak.
Gooi die koekmeel stadig by terwyl daar gemeng word tot dat dit bolletjies begin vorm.
Brei die degie nou goed deur en voeg nog koekmeel by totdat die regte tekstuur verkry is.

INSPUITING DEGIE

Bestandele:
4 t-lepels "Banana Essence"
1 t-lepel "Green Florocene"
1/2 koppie Water
7 t-lepels Koekmeel

Metode:
Plaas al die bestandele behalwe die koekmeel in n mengbak en meng deeglik.
Voeg die koekmeel stadig by terwyl daar gemeng word. Die mengsel moet nie te styf wees
om deur die inspuiting te kan gaan nie.

CUSTARD DEGIE

Bestandele:
1/2 koppie Custard poeier
2 t-lepels "Custard Concentrate"
1/2 koppie Water
1/2 koppie Koekmeel
2 t-lepels "Glycerine"

Metode:
Meng die droe en nat bestandele in verskillende mengbakkies.
Voeg die nat bestandele stadig by die droe bestandele en meng toe dat die regte tekstuur verkry is.

Cornmeal Carp Bait

Boil 1 pint of water in saucepan
Mix 2 cups of cornmeal and 1 cup of flour together in a bowl
Add 1/2 package of gelatin to boiling water (any flavor)
Put burner on low and add 2 tablespoons (tbsp.) sugar and I tbsp. of vanilla flavor.
With a large spoon cover the surface of the water with the cornmeal and flour mixture.
A bubble of water will come through. Cover the bubble with cornmeal.
Another bubble will come through (cover again). over the bubbles until the cornmeal/flour mix is gone.
Stir dough mixture for about 30 seconds
Remove pan from the stove and dump dough onto foil.
Knead the dough as soon as it is cool enough, then roll into a ball.
Wrap dough in foil, and refrigerate. (Keeps about a week)

Doughball Delight
Blend together 1 cup of water
1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. honey
and 4 tbsp. sugar in a medium-sized pot, over medium heat.
When mixture starts to boil, slowly sprinkle in 1 cup of yellow cornmeal.
Stir mixture quickly and thoroughly for about 3 min. until it becomes a firm doughy consistency
Remove from heat and put dough on a dinner plate
Press the dough flat and let it cool for 1 or 2 min. then turn it over and let the other side cool.
Work the dough in your hand for a minute, then place it in a plastic bag and seal it

Bouncing Doughball
2 cups flour
2 cups cornmeal (Quaker)
2 cups water

Put into an old pot and stir into a paste.
Cook, flatten, and stir until mixture becomes thick.
Add I tbsp. vanilla,
4 tbsp. Karo dark syrup
Sprinkle with cinnamon
Cook, flatten, and stir until thick again.
For desired consistency, make a little ball out of the mixture,
drop it and if it doesn?t bounce an inch or two, continue cooking until it does.

Jell-O Doughball

Bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
Add three tbsp. of strawberry flavored Jell-O
then slowly add, while stirring a mixture of two cups of yellow cornmeal
and one cup of flour
Now, turn down the heat and stir while cooking for about five minutes.
Let the dough cool thoroughly before refrigerating in a plastic bag.

Other Ingredients and Recipes
The above recipes do not even begin to scratch the surface (as the saying goes) of carp bait possibilities.
There are many other kinds of baking ingredients, grains, sweeteners, and flavorings that can be used for making doughball
Anything from rice to various other kinds of wheat and corn grains, some of which have been mentioned in previous NACA articles.
The list is endless. There are probably many more yet undiscovered ingredients that have yet to be considered.
The above doughball recipes should give the newcomer to carping or using doughball a place to start experimenting with bait,
and for those more experienced that have used other baits, something new to try and expand on.
By replacing the water with eggs in many of the above recipes, boilies, which are only "hard doughballs" after all, can be made.

Recipe #1

Ingredients:

1/2 cup corn meal
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup white Karo syrup
2/3 cup water
3 tablespoons water optional
3 tablespoons Peanut butter (optional)
Oil scents can be substituted for peanut butter
Cotton ball fibers Marshmallow creme (optional to add floatation)
food coloring (to get desired color)

Preparation:

On low heat mix water, syrup, food coloring, and peanut butter. (or oil substitute)
After mixing corn meal and flour together slowly add to liquid while stirring.
Stir while cooking until thick or water is gone.
Mixture can be blended with marshmallow creme for floating baits.
After mixture cools add cotton ball fibers to keep baits together.
One that will stay on the hook and can be cast into the swiftest water without difficulty,
yet is soft enough for a delicate hook set, consists of equal parts of yellow corn meal and white flour mixed together
plus enough water to give the mixture the consistency of biscuit dough.
The mixture is dropped into boiling water a spoonful at a time and allowed to cook for 5 minutes or until it is cooked throughout.
It can be tested by removing a good-sized lump and breaking it open; when the doughball is yellow clear through,
it is done and can be removed from the boiling water to cool.
As soon as it cools enough to be handled,
all of the dough lumps are kneaded together into a large ball from which individual baits are pinched, as needed.

Recipe #2

Ingredients:

2 cups of corn meal and
1 cup of flour mixed together.
one-half package of jello,
3 tablespoons of sugar,
1 tablespoon of vanilla into a pint of boiling water.

Preparation:

Add the corn meal-flour mix to the jello.
Remove and let it cool.
Knead the dough bait into a single ball and wrap it in aluminum foil for refrigeration.
You should be aware that dough bait used in cold water -- below 55Deg. F
should be fairly soft since there is a tendency for it to become firmer when immersed in cold water.
Likewise, dough baits kept in the refrigerator and then cast into warm water may become too soft.
Additional flour will add firmness under these conditions.
Also bits of marshmallow were suggested





Small baits are usually considered the best for carp.
Some anglers prefer a small, round ball of bait placed on the tip of the hook only
Others use a pear-shaped bait and cover the entire hook. Both methods give excellent results

Ryan's Carp Bait

Ingredients:
2 blocks of limburger chesse
Box of wheaties
Strawberry jello mix (powder)
Water

Preparation:
let chesse melt in sun
then put on top of wheaties
add jello mix work in with hands add water to help pack if gets soupey sit under sun

P.S. can be used for both catfish and carp

Dad's Carp Bait

Ingredients:
1 Cup of plain flour
1 1/2 Cup's yellow plain corn meal
1/4 Cup sugar
1 cup of water

Preparation:
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
Add water a little at a time until you have the right consistancy
Divide your dough into 4 small balls. Pat balls into about an inch thich circle.
Put a pan of water on the stove with enough water to cover 2 circles of dough
Boil 3 miutes, test by sticking a knife in the center, you don't want it to mushy
Take dough out of boiling water and cut into peices. let cool enough to handle.
Now is the time to add your favorite scent.
Vanilla, strawberry jello, garlic, honey, Maple syrup, or bourbon if you fish next to a distilery.
Kneed dough together. You may need to sprinkle with additional water to form a dough that will not come off the hook.


Khalil's Carp Bait

Ingredients:
One Cup Corn Meal
One Cup Flour
Once Cup Instant Oatmeal
3/4 cup of sugar
Water (amount varies: 2 to 31/2 cups, more or less depending on preference).
Maple Syrup (amount varies)

Preparation:
Add dry ingredients first and then add desired amounts of water and syrup, depending on the thickness you prefer. T
The sweetness is the keystone of the bait. It won't harm to taste a tiny bit of it.
If the bait doesn't stay on the hook and you're out on the water with no thickening agent,
always bring a small piece of cheese cloth or wire screen, and wrap them around the baited hook with the hook point sticking out.

Monster Carp Bait

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
8 tablespoons of sugar
1 bottle (16 oz) karo syrup
1 fl oz strawberry flavor
1 bag of yellow cornmeal

Preparation:
Mix ingredients and then put in the freezer for 1 hour before using them
Have fun and sit back and watch um start bitin'!

Gigantic Carp Bait

Ingredients:
2 bags of instant oatmeal
a teaspoon of garlic salt
maple syrup
1/2 cup of flower
1/4 cup of water
a dab of salt
a tablespoon of sugar

Preparation:
Flour up bowl
put instant oatmeal, garlic salt, dab of salt, and a tablespoon of sugar in the bowl.
Add maple syrup (as much as needed) in bowl and mix.
put flour in bowl
1/4 cup of water in bowl and mix.
Bake or warm in microwave until hard enough to make a soft ball.
Put on hook and cast away

Carp Dough Ball Bait

Ingredients:
1 Full box of wheaties
1 Full can of pepsi
1/8 of anise

Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients above
Let sit outside in sun for 10-15 mins.
Bring back inside and mix all of it again
Put on hook and sit back and get ready for the action

Carp Dough Bait

Ingredients:
1 pound of soybean meal
1 can of cream style corn
2 tablespoons of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of texas pete hot sauce
sugar corn pops
any kind of liquid flavoring you wish such as vanilla, banana, strawberry, etc.

Preparation:
Combine all of the ingredients above and add just enough liquid flavoring to get it to make
a dough ball that feels like it will stay on hook.
First put a sugar corn pop on the hook then wrap mixed dough around the pop.

Hi Daar,

Ek wil graag vra watter bol dips en baits moet ek gebruik vir die winter maande. Ek en my man het by n klub aangesluit en is maar nuut in die storie maar geniet dit vreeslik baie. Ons volgende naweek is die 11de Mei by Buurmans (Vaal Dam).
