Hi guys
Know a few of you shoot Nikon scopes and almost all of us have looked through one. What do you guys like and dislike about a few of the Nikon reticules?
How would your ideal reticule look?
Thanks

Re: Nikon Reticles
i have a nikon with bdc reticle, only hassle i have with it, is that the circles are a bit thick, i would prefer a thinner bdc reticle.

Re: Nikon Reticles
Hi Machann
I went to Safari and Ourdoor on Saterday and left there with a 6-24x50 with the BDC reticle. I have used the reticle on the 3-12x42 on a springbuck hunt and it is handy. I would have liked the reticle to use small stripes in sted of the sirkels for the BDC.
Just my 2cents

I am busy building a range rifle in 308 based on a Rsa action. The guys at Arms suggested a Nikon 6-24x50 like you have with BDC, how do you find this scope would it work on the range out to 500m?
In that Price range what other makes would youn suggest?

I have used it to 300m on a Springbok terget and it was perfect for me. The picture was perfect, the bdc worked perfect. If u are going to use it on the range you can use the Nikoplex, Fine croshair or the fine croshair/dot as the adjustments are made very easely and you can adjust the reticle to compensate for the drop/wind.
I am starting to do some research on a scope for the .223. I have been Looking at a Burris, Lynx, Rudolph and Nikon. All of them are good in my opinion but I will buy a nother Nikon. The price is good and the comparisons I have done was with a Vortex Viper, Leupold VX3 and Schmidt and Bender. The Nikon is just as good as all of them exept at late dusk I was able to see a tad better with the S&B but the Nikon was as good as the other two and picture was in my opinion clearer than them all.
I hope it helps.
