Evening gents.
Where can one purchase a North West Province hunting permit - preferably around the Johannesburg area ?
And do I need a permit if I am hunting on an exempted farm ?

"Exempted farm: no licence is required for species listed on exemption certificate; transport permit for wild pig meat is required; a licence is required for hunting of game birds on all farms during open season. Rock pigeon is ordinary game and hunters require a hunting licence."

You can get a bird hunting license for NW Province online without leaving the comfort of your home. Go to www.nipas.co.za. Register. Load the docs they ask for, apply for the license, pay the fee and submit. You will get a pdf of the license and mine have never taken more than a few days from application to receipt.

Nipas is user friendly, especially the second year that you want to apply. Your details remain on the system. R70 for bird hunting permit which is valid for 365 days from issuing. You can get other hunting permits also through Nipas

Thank you for the info, however bird hunting is not on my menu.
Further research has revealed that I do not need a North West Hunting license as I will be hunting on an enclosed/exempt farm.
I just need all the other permits and invitations to hunt that are related to level 3 lockdown procedures.
