Is this cartridge capable of competition type accuracy with correct choice of rifle and optics and being used by a capable marksman. Benchrest type performence within limits ( 300 m ) ??

Thanks Ludwig by the sounds I'll have a sufficiently accurate rifle then for practical hunting type competitive shooting like that offered by SA Hunters , and a useful moderate recoil hunting rifle for everyday use ??

With most shoots the fail is usually the nut behind the butt. Most modern 7x57 rifles will shoot better than what your ability is to hold steady. A very nice caliber - you will see that I have its turbo charged relative that gives great results in the hunting field.

You guys are great. Thanks for the help. I'm sure I'll enjoy shooting the 7x57 more than my 7mm Rem Mag.

The last couple of PMP grouping competitions were won by 7x57 calibres.

I see that a grouping of 6.25 mm was achieved at one of these shoots. That is remarkable ! Now this Brno 8x60s I have is original and in very good condition. No one seems keen to buy it at its real market value. Do I try swop it for a 7x57 that suits my requirements or do I have 7x57 built on that action
