Ek luister graag.

Verskoon die engels asb...

I have used the 140gr AB almost exclusively in my 6.5 Swede and have hunted between 150 and 200 animals with this combo. My MV is around 2770f/s. Before reading this thread, I would strongly recommend the 140gr AB for the Swede for general purpose hunting if asked.

I have not experienced the negative performance as described in a few posts here - even on springbok, which probably account for around 50-60 of the total mentioned. Sure there has been the odd shoulder shot where the leg bone has been hit and there's been meat damage from bone fragments. But that's as bad as I've experienced. And even in these cases, the damage wasn't that severe. Where the shot placement was adequate, I have always had ideal performance (as best I can tell)

I have shot steenbok up to BWB bulls with this bullet. I haven't recovered any bullets - almost all shots have been pass-throughs, and on the few occasions that the bullet has not exited, we haven't been able to find the bullet (a frontal shot on a big gemsbok bull comes to mind). So I do not have firsthand experience of what the ABs looked like after being shot.
In fairness I'd say very few of my shots were less than 120m, so perhaps the drop in velocity aided the bullet performance

The worst performance/damage I've seen was a kudu cow in thick thornveld where all I could see was the head and the top of her neck at around 120m. I shot her in the throat and the bullet appeared to have broken up on the vertebra as it did not exit in a straight line. There were severe wounds on both sides of the neck which may have been bone fragments and/or the bullet. The animal dropped right there needless to add.

I wonder if Nosler has changed the AB recently and made them softer somehow - my stock was all bought more than 5 years ago. It seems very unlikely but I cannot think how these experiences with the 'same' bullet vary so dramatically?
The ABs have also got ridiculously expensive, even A-Frames are now in the same price class - so most of the premium bullets are candidates if one has doubts about the AB.

Ek waardeer jou inset.

As Hornady net n 140 gr Interbond gemaak het sou dit my go to koeel gewees het.

Naand Conna.
