On August 25, 2025, our dad, Frans Stander, was involved in a devastating car accident. He sustained multiple life-threatening injuries, including severe head trauma, fractured vertebrae in both his neck and back, and broken ribs that punctured his lung, causing it to collapse.
He was initially admitted to Sasolburg Hospital, but due to limited resources, he was transferred to Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein for further treatment. For the first two weeks following the accident, our father remained unresponsive. While doctors first believed this was a result of a severe concussion, additional scans revealed dangerous pressure building on his brain. He required an urgent burr hole procedure to relieve the pressure, a surgery that ultimately saved his life.
Although this procedure was a critical turning point, it marked only the beginning of his long journey toward recovery. He now urgently requires intensive rehabilitation and ongoing therapy. The duration of his recovery remains uncertain, and the financial demands of his care are far beyond what my family can sustain on our own.
Even if you do not know him personally, I hope his story resonates with you. Frans is more than a patient — he is a dad, a friend, and a man who has always shown strength and love to those around him. With the right medical care and rehabilitation, we believe he has the chance to regain his quality of life.
I am reaching out to ask for your support:
• Any financial contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward his rehabilitation and recovery.
• If you are unable to contribute financially, simply sharing his story will also make a meaningful difference, and most importantly, Pray with us for healing and strength
On behalf of my family, I extend my deepest gratitude for your compassion, generosity, and encouragement during this difficult time. Your support gives us hope as our father continues his fight for recovery.

Please help us give Frans the chance to heal, rebuild, and return to the life he deserves.
With sincere thanks,
The Stander Family
