.500 MDM ?????

I have a .500 MDM Ultra Mag.
It's a 375 RUM case necked up to true .50 cal
Very limited for choice of projies but I only really use the one and that's the CEB Safari Raptors.
450gn, 50 cal brass Raptor at a sedate 2450fps (can do 2600fps) really makes them sit down fast.
Hits a like a fully loaded freight train.
I've shot numerous buff and scrub bulls in full flight and folded them on the spot.
Not entirely necessary but very comforting when dealing with big bovines in thick scrub.
Recoil is entirely doable for anyone comfortable with Lott level recoil, just a slight step up.
For me, it was the ultimate back-up gun.
Short (20" barrel), light-ish (8.5lbs) handles and points like a shotgun.
