300 H&H 200gr Nosler Accubond and RL-26 validation

I've started testing some RL-26 in my 300H&H

Looplengte: 613mm (24")
Doppe: Norma
Dop volume: 88.8gr H2O
Trim lengte: 71.9mm
Primers: CCI250
Kruit: Reloder RL-26

Koeel: 200gr Nosler AB
TPL gebruik: 91.5mm

GRT predicted an MV of 2850ft/s for a load of 71.0gr at a pressure of just under 55k psi.

Measured MV with chrony at 5m from muzzle 2842 ft/s (so dead on the GRT estimate)

I want to push for node 5 at 2910 ft/s, which GRT suggests I can hit with 72.49gr RL-26 with the pressure at almost 60k psi, i.e. within Pmax.
Pmax for this calibre is 62k psi, so I'd like to get the opinion of the learned reloaders/QL/GRT users - I know I'm getting close to the limits but I want to see what RL-26 can do.
(The reality is that the 2850ft/s load I have is more than good enough from an accuracy and velocity perspective)

I have also tested RL-26 in this calibre with 200gr A-Frames and 200gr Barnes TSX - good groups and extremely close to the GRT predictions for load/velocities. If anyone is interested in this info, just shout.

The load might be heavy on the cases. See what happens to your primer pockets. If these are loads for specific long range hunts then you are not going to fire many shots and punish your rifle and cases.

You say that the 71gr load (which is at the half node between 6 and 5) give adequate accuracy. Gaining 60fps might not even mean an inch at 400 metres. I would stick with the lower pressure load.

Yes the 71.0gr load was based on node 5.5 gave good accuracy. I agree with all your other points!
