Hi guys

Anyone fished at Roodekoppies outside Brits lately? How is the fishing?

I'm thinking of taking my wife and kids through for the day on Sunday. Used to fish at the N TVL Anging club grounds but I haven't been there in a while. Can one still fish there?

My requirements are a safe, clean place with decent toilet facilities for mom and mom-in-law.

Any information will be appreciated.

I would not go. It was stated in Maroela about people getting sick from the water. They moved the Roodekoppies Bonanza, was supposed to be this month.

Thanks very much for the warning Lourens. 'Think I'll avoid Roodekoppies for the time-being. What a pity! When I was a young boy my late dad and I used to eat some of the fish that we caught - kurper, bass, yellows, and even the odd carp and barbel. Now you can't even get your feet wet for fear of infection - let alone eat the fish.

Dimitri try trout hunters in krugersdorp. They have quite nice carp dams.

Is dit nie oneties om captive bred forel en karp te wil vang nie?

Hi Frederick. Unfortunately we did not go fishing in the end. We hope to do a day trip soon. I'll give some feedback if and when we go.
