I've had a Davies trigger on my 308W for about a year - excellent results.

You can have a jewell fitted to a RSA action. You need to find a very competent smith as the job is quite intricate

Is the trigger on the RSA a unique design or is there a brand of "factory triggers" that are a drop in replacement?

There is no true aftermarket trigger for the RSA other than the THOR or ERA as a very good hunting trigger. It is not a true match trigger however.

Adam Davies makes a replacement unit for the RSA. I use one. Adam makes both a single lever and a double lever that is as good as a Jewel. (BTW he makes both a hunting trigger and a F Class trigger). Adams trigger needs fitting by a gunsmith as it needs minor modification to the trigger guard

Geoffrey from Master Gunsmith in Stikland, Cape Town, has designed a trigger for the RSA that some people says "compares" to the Jewell trigger. Contact him on 07one 889 one758
