Goeie dag. Ek's baie nuut in die geweer skiet maar het 'n dom vraag. Na hoeveel skote sal jou geweer se loop so vuil wees dat dit die p.o.I verskil ? Dankie.

Daar sal verskil wees as die loop warm geskiet is laat die eers af koel na so drie vier skote op die skiet baan baie ouens trek net dan ook lappie deur! Na so twintig skote maak die loop dan weer deeglik skoon vir koper ens.!

"During the first few years I owned the rifle, I was crazy about cleaning. My log shows that I cleaned the barrel 80 times in the first 998 rounds. That works out to cleaning every dozen rounds! No wonder it took me so long to find the right load! Boy, have I changed my habits. I still clean the barrel, but I run a much higher round count between cleanings than before. Now, I shoot 100-200 rounds before I give the barrel a thorough cleaning. This goes with my general thinking--that some folks will benefit from added trigger time more than anything else. Spend more time shooting than loading 'perfect' ammunition or cleaning. Squeezing that last quarter-minute out of your groups won't do you any good if you can't hold one MOA or you can't read wind conditions."

Today was only my second time on the range with my .303 I shot 3 times. 4-6 rounds each time, not much rest in between the shots. Grouping was better than the previous time. Between the 3rd and the last group the rifle rested quite a bit as I shot many rounds from my pistol. With my last group after the pistol shooting I noticed that all the shots were right of target and the group was opening up. That's what wsas bothering me. Maybe the barrel is so fouled now that the p.o.I and groupings are affected. I'm going back to the range this afternoon to test the Sierra round I forgot at hom this morning.

Kyk maar eers dat al die skroewe ordetnlik vas is.

Die tweede sessie vanmiddag het ek net Sierra koëels geskiet. Goeie, konstante groepering vir my vlak van ondervinding. Ek sal later fotos oplaai. Ek het lank gerus tussen skote. Het 'n Coke blikkie op 200 meter raak geskiet. Ek dink ek sal maar vir nou by Sierra bly. Dankie vir almal se advies en anwoorde op my vrae. O wag, nog 'n dom vraag . Hoekom is my pistool se doppies warm as ek hulle geskiet het maar my geweer'sn nie ?
