To whom it may concern.
I am applying for a license for a rifle (Ruger M77MKII, bolt action, caliber 25-06 serial no. 784/32617). The purpose of the rifle would be the hunting of plains antelope at longer ranges 300m+ (e.g. Springbuck, Blesbok, Mountain Reedbuck, Common Reedbuck and Klipspringer) as well as damage causing animals such as Jackal, Caracal and Baboons. The 25-06 caliber and Ruger M77MKII rifle is ideally suited to the long range hunting of small and medium sized animals on open plains due to it?s high velocity and excellent accuracy (3200fps with a 100gr bullet).

I have been hunting and shooting for 20 years. The safe and responsible use of firearms always comes first when I hunt and practice. I have extensive recreational and professional hunting experience, whereby I am a Qualified Professional Hunter (Guided in South Africa and Tanzania with rifle and bow hunters) and hunt recreationally with bow and rifle +- 15 times per year, and fire +-500 rounds of ammunition in practice sessions each year.
The rifle will be stored in my 6 rifle safe at my home in xxxxxx, Hartbeespoort, North West. The safe is attached to the wall in a cupboard by means of 4(four) 12mm Rawl-Bolts. We have 24hour Security Personnel as well as electrified fences surrounding the complex.
