Hi there.
Has anyone tried reduced loads using Pistol Powders and 150gr Bullets in a 270 Winchester?
Paged through an old Magnum article of Koos Barnard, and saw data as follows:
MP200 - 13gr - 150gr PMP
S265 - 20gr - 150gr PMP
The MP200 will obviously give the least recoil, which is my main aim, as I want to use them as practise loads only for my lady friend. If you have tried what have been your experiences, and would those loads be safe to start at?
Cheers
Deon

270 Win - Reduced Loads
"A peculiar virtue in wildlife ethics is that the hunter ordinarily has no gallery to applaud or disapprove of his conduct. Whatever his acts, they are dictated by his own conscience, rather than by a mob of onlookers. It is difficult to exaggerate the importance of this fact."

I would not have put the loads in Magnum if there were unsafe

Hi Koos.
My apologies, did not mean to incite that they are unsafe. What I meant by safe is, is that the start load or should I back off 1 or 2gr?
