I was hoping for more of a response to my original post, but perhaps the scope is not that good of an option?
Would R7500 be a fair price to pay for this scope, excluding rings?
Or would a Nikon Monarch 3 5-20 x 44 for R5500 be a better option?
Hi Sean,
From memory, that model Zeiss in immaculate condition has gone for around R8000-8500. I have the same scope so it's stuck in my mind a bit.
Not sure if a search will throw up some prices?
My 2c, I wouldn't sell mine for less than R8k. At R7500 it should sell quickly, at least in normal times - it does seem the used scope market has become very quiet under lockdown and some bargains are around..
These Zeiss' are really nice general hunting scopes in my view. Really nice glass, robust and never had a moment's trouble with mine.

I appreciate your opinion.
Have a lekker weekend.
Sean, I had this specific Nokia scope, got a X1000 after claim setlement with Nokia. One unfortunately cannot compare this Nokia with the Zeis, even with difference in power range. The Zeis has 30mm tube and 50mm obj lense and the optics I leave for your judgement!
I am a Nokia supporter and no issue with their products.
Ek het presies so 'n scope. Het R8000 betaal vir myne so +- 3 jaar terug, was spliner nuut. Ek sal myne nie verkoop nie.

Hi Thomas
Yeah. I am considering upgrading the Nikon on my 06 to a Zeiss, but I must say the extra magnification that the Nikon offers helps my ageing eyes.
Despite the comments leaning towards the Zeiss I am not yet convinced.
What say you.

Sean, I had a Zeiss Conquest on my 7mm08, a 5-20 If I remember correctly. Great optics and amazing tracking on the turrets. Only problem was the 25mm tube which limited elevation out to 950m (with 20 MOA rail), which was why I upgraded.
The Duralyt was the metric equivalent of the Conquest
Reason for asking is that if it is a hunting rifle it would make sense to me. If this was mainly a target rifle I would not consider this Zeiss. That is my opinion.
