Re: 22-250 recommendations
I would first decide on what bullet you want to use and then look at the twist rate of the various brands to make sure it would work. Also consider the options to upgrade the rifle over time. I love my Remingtons for this reason. 100's of stocks, great triggers and other modifications are available.

I'm shooting 22-250 since 1991 55gn bullets is the ultimate size
I've recentle changed to a 28" barrel it's a pacnor comp barrel wich gives me 4000 f/sec with a load of 34gn S335 Speed kills trust me I know

Re: 22-250 recommendations
Thanks for the replies. Dont know much about rifles and twist rates. Definately will start off with 55gr bullets. Dont want to make changes to rifle as yet, so want something nice out of the box. Interested in a synthetic stock. What is the quality of Howa's stock? Looked at Tikka varminter on website, however not held in my hands. Cheers Kenneth

Hi Kenneth
The plastic houge stock that comes with the howa is in my opinion junk, you can however order a laminate boyds stock from Geno and still come in cheaper than a Tika.
Have a look at the howa Varmint as well.
They come standard with heavy profile barrel and laminated stock
As you can see my choice is also Howa
Regards
Dave

Re: 22-250 recommendations
Just make sure of he twist rate of barrel if you're interested in loading slightly heavier bullets. Even though there used to be a batch of 1:8 howas available , it is quite difficuilt to gets hold if one nowerdays. Only standard 1:8 barrel 22-250 I currently know of is a Savage model 12? I know S&O advertise them for R 20000+ .Then again, for less than R10000 more you'll be able to get yourself a custom 22-250 with adjustable GRS stock, pac nor super match 28'' barrel, howa action for around R30000.....I'm in the market for a 1:8 twist 22-250 myself but cannot make up my mind between the custom and savage....

Is daar 'n spesifieke rede hoekom jou bipods agterstevoor vasgesit is? Hoe "load" jy hom om as jy skiet?
