Post by Daniel55 »

Hi guys, i can get a box or two of the Spartan 150g at a good price. I searched the forum and see mixed reports on performance.Anybody use it lately? How will it compare to the Hornady GMX ? It will be Out of a 308 and a friends 30 06.

Thanks saw that link in my searching. More the "smaller" calibers I am interested in.

I think the performance should be similar to the .375's. As long as you keep your velocities above 2500fps. Which shouldn't be a problem with either the 308 or 30-06

Got hold of the manufacter, they also state they need around 2000fps to expand.

Thanks for the reply. Did it exit or did you find the bullet?

Bullet went through - hit slightly behind nearest shoulder and on exit clipped opposite shoulder.

Thanks. Do people use these at the range as well or do you practice with cheaper regular bullets?
