Nelly jy sal nie n fout maak nie uitstekende kaliber, min recoil, goeie bc koeels,doppe gaan baie lank hou,kom ver met n blik kruit.Ek is van mening dat 6.5x47 een van beste performers is in terme van kruitvolume tot spoed. Probeer net kyk dat jy regte reamer het,sodat lands nie te naby is nie.Laai ongelooflik maklik amper al die ladings wil groepeer.tot op hede is dit die akuraatste kaliber wat ek nog geskiet het.

Shot mine for the first time on Saturday in a Night shoot at Stanger on a Jackal Target, and was very impressed with the results. Placed 5 Shoots in 40mm at 200m have only put 100 rounds through it so far, but all the information on it begin an easy calibre seem to be true.

Shooting 123gr SMK0 at 2750fps out of 24 inch barrel.

Hi I have a 6.5x47 L built on a defiance action Krieger barrel.it's great. I'm so impressed with this little gem that I'm building to switch barreled bat rifles and both will be in 6.5 x 47 L and 284 shehane sand one 22250. The 6.5x47L is on another level. I've shot 2300 round with it in the last year and it still shoots unbelievable groups.

I received this picture of a group shot at 500m from a 6.5x47L on a Defiance action. If I am not mistaken, it was Shaun Flink's gun??

Baie interresant, ek laai weer S355 37.8gr vir 2.640oal. Het tot en met 800 m gong nou al geskiet wil nou verder gaan maar sal groter gong moet kry 8" is al baie klein op 800m.Ongelooflike lekker kaliber geniet hom baie.

I have a reamer so all you need is a 6.5mm or .264 barrel and we can cut the chamber.

Bigger hassle is the reloading dies.

Askies man vergeet ek die koeel, dit is met 123gr lapua scenars. Jy weet nie waar ek dalk nog 123gr scenars kan kry nie. wat is jou reamer se freebore ?

I load 123 SMK against the lands and my OAL is 68.00mm (2.677inch) measured like you do in the chamber cut with my reamer. The reamer cuts a very tight chamber for the rest of the case too.

Shaun om eerlik te wees die geweer het met al die ladings wat ek mee gespeel het asook 139gr scenars onder n duim op 100m geskiet.Met huidige lading skiet geweer letterlik gaaitjie in die gaaitjie, of kom ek stel dit anders om ek het nie die vermoe op die staduim om die geweer se potensiaal ten volle te benut nie.Ek het al n groep van 20mm geskiet op 400m.Ek moet net beter teikens kry vir 1000m wil baie graag kyk wat geweer en ek op daai afstand kan doen.

1. 123gr Senecar try Hunt-on-line they have them listed under Bullets Lapua
2. Barrel length 24 inches, 1st load 39.5 gr S365 123 SMK 2750fps
Playing with S361 looks like a sweet spot @ 42.5 gr to 43.2gr velocity about 2750 - 2800 fps but seems consistent very nice case fill 95%+ (bottom of neck)
I want to seat bullets into the neck area but not into the case volume as this seems to give best consistency

Going to shoot those S361 loads as soon as weather permits. Will chrony for consistency.

The feedback you guys are giving is great. With Lapua brass and a great case design this can only be a winner. Recoil must also be low and conducive to good shooting.
