Hi Guys
It is nice to know that after being out of Africa so to speak for nearly thirteen years now I am still fondly remembered by a couple of predator hunters and trappers I had the pleasure of teaching the ropes to in the good old days.
To those who recommended this site to me a big thank you from the Finchman.
I may now be up in the wilds of Scotland at the moment but we have hundreds of sheep farmers here and the predation on these animals by European Fox (vulpes vulpes) especially in the lambing seasons is the same as anywhere else in the world.
When I have the time and Scottish weather permitting I get out there with my Crit'r-Call to call the pesky fox in and dispatch them with the old super duper accurate .243 Ruger Varminter.
Yup! I still keep my eye in and still enjoy the thrill of the hunt, especially the calling aspect.
Anybody wanting to drop me a line or have a querie on this forum, please be my guest and I'll only be too pleased to respond.
Best Regards to you all.

Re: Hi Guys
Hi John,
Welcome back on the Forum - we will grit our teeth for the English if you on your side don't laugh to much at these boertjies trying to expess their deepest feelings in a Different tongue.
As you are fully aware - English here is merely used in self defence and the odd "yes" and "no" and "Thank you very much" is as much as we are able to use sucsessfully...
Thanks you for participating from wherever you are - keep us posted and enjoy the typical south african sense of humour

Hi John.
Welcome to the forum. It's an honour having one of SA's first predator callers here.
Please stick around to share some of your experiences.

Welkom John, please share some stories of pest control in the UK.
Klein klein jakkalsies krap
En daai klein klein jakkalsies maak
Dat ek in my stoel rondkrioel
Is dit hoe n broek vol miere voel?
