ALMAL

Daar was byna 100 belangstellendes -boere en arbeiders.
DANKIE NEIL

Hey Boet, just warn them that it will be one of those EXREME SPORTS ;)

CHECK THIS!!!!!

Many people are of the opinion that Sutherland is the coldest place in South Africa and as a consequence, some media reports have indicated that the coldest temperature ever recorded in South Africa is - 16?C. This is not the case. In actual fact, the coldest temperature ever recorded in South Africa at a weather station operated by the South African Weather Service is -18.6?C at Buffelsfontein, which is in the Molteno district of the Eastern Cape.

At Buffelsfontein, which lies at an altitude of 1,783m, the mean annual temperature is 11.3?C and the average minimum temperature for the year is 2.8?C. When one considers annual average temperatures, Sutherland, at an altitude of 1,458m, comes a close second to Buffelsfontein with a mean annual temperature of 11.8?C and an average minimum temperature for the year of 3.4?C.

The differences between the two places in question start to become more apparent when one looks at the monthly averages. In June, the average minimum temperature in Buffelsfontein is -3.8?C and in Sutherland it is -1.2?C, while in July, the average minimum temperature for Buffelsfontein is -4.8?C and for Sutherland -2.4?C. Over the three official winter months of June, July and August, Buffelsfontein usually experiences about 37 days when the minimum temperature drops below -5?C - this is 15 more days than at Sutherland.

Despite the fact that Sutherland is in the news each day due to the fact that it is a station for which forecasts are issued, the myth that it is the coldest place in the country should now be dispelled - that honour goes to Buffelsfontein.

Wat se julle nou????

cheers,

Goeie more manne.
So met al jul gepratery oor nuwelinge ens. wil ek net my opinie ook lig,ek  het my roepgoed so drie jaar terug aangeskaf, daai tyd was geld nie n probleem nie,het my eie besigheid gehad. :-\

Sterkte
