Somchem S221 Probleem

Middag, gesels nou net met 'n kollega wat die naweek 'n probleem met sy 40SW gehad het. Somchem het na 'n bietjie gesukkel erken daar is 'n probleem met 'n batch. Het nie 'n nommer en kan hom nie nou pla  nie. Die nuwe inligting is glo aan verkopers gestuur.

Weet iemand van die probleem, glo 25 % te warm.

Hulle het glo gewysigde tabel uitgereik. Ek weet Cmadix het hulle gekontak daarvoor.
Die kolega s? hy was .2gr bo vorige minimum (7.3) toe voel hy die skote stamp hom darem baie. Doppe was beskadig en SD wys druk. Nuwe maks is 6.8gr.

S221 LOT 213

This serves as a warning from Rheinmetal Denel Munition when loading with S221 lot 213 in the .38Super calibre.
S221 was developed for and manufactured around the .38Super calibre and it is expected to be the best RDM / Somchem propellant for this calibre.

S221 lot 213 propellant was qualified in the closed vessel and in the 9mm x 19P calibre comparing it with the reference S221 lot 147.

Specification for reloading propellant to be released:

In the closed vessel compare to the reference:
Relative Dynamic Vivacity: Between 97% and 101% Lot 213 = 101%
The calibre test:
Velocity: Between 97% and 103% Lot 213 = 99%
Pressure: Smaller than 103% Lot 213 =101%

S221 lot 213 performed within the specification in both the closed vessel and in the 9mm P calibre. The performance levels were however high (on the top end) of the specification in both cases.

A comparative test between S221 lot 213 vs. S221 lot 147 Reference propellant in the .38Super with 126gr CN resulted also in much higher velocities and pressures with lot 213. For this calibre even the performance level of the reference lot is regarded to be on the ?higher side?.
